When I am in a creative rut, I like to draw from the world around me and will go on location drawing people in busy spots like cafes, shopping centres and parks. It helps with hand eye co ordination and speeding your drawings up. I also look to other creatives for inspiration, perhaps looking at their colour palette selection or what materials they use.

 As a “Live Illustrator” I mainly worked on marketing campaigns with brands or corporate clients. I got to meet and draw many people at such events, some brides to be, that I drew at previous events, got in touch with me and asked if I could draw at their wedding, and that’s how it started.

I really love attending weddings and getting to meet the guests, family and friends, as I spend a bit of time with them, they tell me about how they know the bridal couple, the highlights of the ceremony and where they get their outfits!! Its a real privilege to be invited to share in a couples big day and to be a small part of their guests experience. The real highlight is when someone gets in touch with a photo of their illustration, framed and taking pride of place in their home, I find that very sweet and a massive compliment.
