I started my career as a Saturday Girl in a Salon in Cheshire England.

I then joined as an apprentice and worked from stylist to art director in a few years.

I was lucky to be the junior of a session stylist in the salon and assisted him on wedding morning shoots, and shows. This is when my passion started!

I was involved in shoots and hair shows for the product Sebastian and really enjoyed the buzz of live events.

I travelled for a while hairdressing in different places but always found myself drawn to the art of dressing hair.

I moved to Ireland almost 18 years ago and began working with a very creative salon in Dublin – Dylan Bradshaw and then moved to Wella to become the Studio Technician, for 8 years my life was purely hairdressing training.

I was a member of the UK creative cutting team and really enjoyed the adventures of teaching in all the different Wella studio’s in Europe and getting the opportunities to meet with highly regarded hairdressing icons.

My passion for training really accelerated in this time and I still love it.

After spending some time being a freelance hairdresser working in Film and Media in Ireland which was amazing, and I could tell you some stories over a drink or three…I started a family and found the long hours and uncertain finishing times just did not work into my life anymore, so I made the best decision to concentrate on Bridal Hair.

I am so lucky, I get to spend a morning with a bride on one of the most special days of her life, but I still missed working with a team and bouncing ideas and the creativity of working with hairdressers, we are a very special breed!

So, I started to train in salons for teams or individuals and again I loved it!

Some hairdressers like to learn by practice so they like to have a hands on workshop, some people prefer to look and practice later and a some like the theory – diagrams, the blue prints, step by step method, to be honest I do all 3 depending on my mood and energy levels so when I teach I try to include all these methods to appeal to everyone.
