Once the bride makes contact with us we organise a consultation call to discuss the needs of the day and most importantly her vision for childcare for the day. We discuss things such as the number of children requiring care, their ages and abilities and of course any special requirements for the day. We get a feel for what the bride will need and then tailor a package to suit their individual needs, our packages range from 6 hours right the way up to 24 hours! As a service who has won Childcare Entertainment awards as well as more recently a Wedding Specialist award we understand exactly what each family needs. We work closely with the bride from the minute she books us right up until the big day to make sure everything we do is in the best interest of the child/children !

As the founder of The Wedding Nanny, what inspires me most is making wedding day memorable for the children who are attending, we all know that too often children get forgotten about at weddings and someone always thinks they’ll be grand with their aunties, this causes stress for parents. Knowing that my team of nannies can come to the wedding and provide childcare and most importantly a fun time for the children while the parents are enjoying their wedding day is incredibly rewarding!

Breaking into the wedding industry can be hard for any professional, but being the first recognised company to offer quality childcare in Ireland was tough, the most important thing that I had compared to other businesses was and still is a high quality service. Myself and the team are trained to the highest standards and we provide a consistent high standard service, this led to natural word of mouth which is now where 80% of our business comes from! I also felt it was very important that I specialized in the wedding industry and not have my hand in too many pots, I quit my full time stable job not long after setting The Wedding Nanny up and made it my mission to become an expert in the field.

My favourite part of the job is seeing the parents fully relax once they can see how happy their children are in the of our nannies! The parents can be fully present and involved in their own big day once they know their child is happy ! Equally, spending quality time with lots of new children is a no brainer and we get to spend our days playing!

My top tips for any bride on their wedding day would be to take moments to reflect and stay relaxed and be sure to savour the experience, most people only do this once! Be sure to enjoy it.

Take a few minutes to go somewhere quiet with your new husband to soak all the love in.

Be sure to give your Maid of Honor all your suppliers names, numbers and expected arrival time, she can then take charge of this if needed and let you enjoy your wedding day!
